About

I am a professor in medical information technology at the University of Bergen, Norway. My current research interests are in the fields of medical image processing and pattern recognition; multimodal and functional imaging (in brain, kidney and in oncology); image segmentation; image registration; longitudinal imaging; imaging-based biomarkers; mathematical and statistical modeling including machine learning.
I have been programming in C and later MATLAB, R and Python for more than 25 years. During these years I have produced >100 publications including peer reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings.
Google scholar (Dec 2017): 4900 citations in total; h-index: 35. Erdös number: 4 (what?).
